How is it that I am able to travel from 1760 into current time. It is a relatively simple, but a truly unbelievable story. Four years ago, that would be 1756, I was on my usual romp through the cemetery. Love the hunt for bones there (not people bones, just old fashion bones), when I discovered a small child mourning over a grave stone. Her name is Melanie. Her face was so sorrowful as she looked down. The grave was of her parents. They died when she was five. What I learned was they died in the late 1600s, and Melanie died with them. Some unknown disease. Melanie’s spirit mourns their loss every day, and will continue to do so for eternity. She still mourns their loss today, and that’s how I’m able to do it. I visit the cemetery, go to the Stone and see Melanie and it’s today – whenever today is- and if you are living in “today” that’s when I am. Don’t know how it works. It works through Melanie and that’s the story- and I am sticking to it. So, I’m at the cemetery “today“ and it is the Fourth of July 2023. Lots of red, white and blue; and lots of excitement about the fireworks tonight here in Williamsburg. I’m not big on fireworks; they’re too loud. They cause me to howl- not like me at all.
Colonial Duchess
Post Script- I hope the networks pick this up. Maybe Netflix- I wonder who will play me in the TV series. Richard is hoping that he will be Sam Elliott. He’s got the mustache down, but he needs to work on the Voice. Move over Outlander. Hello Animal Planet.
Sam Elliott is a perfect choice for Richard, Duchess you need to play yourself!
Happy 4th of July.
Dale
Duchess,
The Gray Fox time travels thru meditation and it is a mindful way to travel without the concern of real time.
Gray Fox
Gray fox still thinks he is 48 years old. Isn’t fantasy wonderful.

Wondering how you survived the fireworks, Duchess?
Of course, in 1760 there was no reason for fireworks on July 4th. However, on July 4, 2023 there was a great fireworks display in Williamsburg VA with many people. Some dogs are spooked. I am unphased (without phase). Being a bicentennial canine, I am actually very sophisticated. Loud noises do not bother me.
