All with the help of Sebastian, who managed the move for Jethro. The Airstream was moved entirely without incident. We are now in Asheville….15 minutes from guess where? You’ve got it – the Biltmore. And that is where I am right now, on the lawn behind the Inn. Perfect. I may pick on Jethro, but, I have to say, he has a way of making things happen. And this is where we will be when we visit Asheville each month  the next 5 months. By the way, just so you know, the cost of a nightly stay at the Inn is one thousand one hundred and seventy four dollars, if you want the balcony view.
I’ll have to invite my friend Lily for a visit.

    Oh Duchess,

    I am SOOOOO excited that you’re inviting me to stay with you and Jethro at The Biltmore at Christmas. Of course, you will tell him that I have to bring my parents so the room with three adults and two dogs could be quite crowded but if you go ahead and book the room with the balcony one of the adults or even two – my parents won’t mind – could sleep on the balcony. Will they have a bed? Oh it doesn’t matter, my mom tells me all of the time how much she loves being in expensive hotels. When is the exact date I should plan to arrive? Get back to me as I’m starting to pack right now and of course get my groomer appointment.

    As a follow up to Lily’s post, I think someone needs to watch the Airstream. Seeing as I desperately want to visit the Biltmore and especially at Christmas, I am volunteering to rough it and stay in the Airstream while you all enjoy a room at the Biltmore.

    Wow! I was about to say “wouldn’t it just be easier to stay at the Biltmore rather than in the AirStream?” But not at $1000+ per night. You’re doing the right thing, Duchess!
