I find mother nature very interesting…

In many respects, it doesn’t matter in what century you are living, mother nature looks the same. The trees, the foliage, the textures and the smells – they could exist in 1760 or in 2023. In those respects, it is wonderful.

So I told you that Indiana was looking for the Holy Grail of campsites for his Airstream. He found it in Boone, North Carolina. ( I’m going to have to start calling him Jethro now). In any event, Jethro found the space. Wooded, secluded, yet only five minutes to town. I am starting to think I could get used to this. We listened to bluegrass music at the gazebo in the park. The only flaw in the experience is that every time I hear bluegrass music, I think of the scene from Deliverance.  Dogs have a long memory and it’s difficult to forget.

  1. Daisy Mae and Jethro,
    So, you did it!
Yes, your campsite was as beautiful when Daniel Boone traveled that area as it is now.

  2. Duchess,

I’m much relieved that you won’t have to just hang around that beautiful campsite and nap in the Airstream……..there’s a Visual Arts Center in Boone. YAY!
