My First Rejection

I went  to visit with a lady named Mary sitting on the porch next to the capital today. Tail wagging and grinning – and she had the nerve to say “I don’t do dogs”.  I didn’t even have a chance to put on my best friendly approach. I did not give her the satisfaction of trying a second time. But you can be sure I left her a deposit on her front lawn.

Jacob was friendlier. Jacob wanted to chat to give me treats. I will visit Jacob again, and will only make up positive stories about him. Unlike Mary. You’ll hear more about Mary again, and in a very unflattering way.

People wonder what I see when I am looking at them.  I find it interesting how humans are so egocentric they think all creatures see them in their own image.  Spoiler alert- not true.  Remember Candice from yesterday?  Here is what you see and this is what I see.  Dogs are much better looking, aren’t they?

  1. Duchess,

You go girl! I think your observations are quite amusing and pretty accurate I suspect.

It’s so great to have you back in the Close. We girls have got a lot to show Colonial Williamsburg about how many of us there are around and how we are definitely man and woman’s best friends. I say its Mary’s loss that she wouldn’t give you the time of day. I’ll avoid her if I see her and will watch for the image you posted!

    Lily
