We are at it again. Here in Asheville again, just 10 minutes from the Biltmore,,, but we are certainly not in any $1,200 room. We are back in the Airstream and it is raining. REALLY RAINING. I have mentioned the tin can effect before. With this rain it is a tin can on steroids. A really, really big tin can. Jethro does everything with earbuds to keep the rain noise out. I have had to get these ridiculous headphones. It is so embarrassing,  but what is a Doodle to do?

    Dear Duchess,

    I’m so sorry about the tin can thing. I’m glad Richard is not just thinking of himself and has fitted you up with the headphones. I know, I know, it messes with the coiffure but you’re so gorgeous your fans will love you in or out of them! I had an exciting day – ha! – my mom thinks I need a beauty treatment once a month now so the “groomer bus” came again today, rats! I do have to admit though, I do look pretty cute. All fluffy is making us all happy these days so no more summer cut for a while. It has rained here all day and very dreary. I hope we’re all going to bed soon, I’m pooped!

    Write more about your travels. I hope you’re having fun. I stop every time we pass your front door and look to see if the lights are on – they’re not!

        This Sunday on the Hallmark Channel at 8:00 is a new movie called…..are you ready?……”Christmas at the Biltmore”! SERIOUSLY!!! The previews show that a character goes back in time to the Guilded Age. I am recording it here in Williamsburg and will watch it at home in PA. The first shot of the previews shows YOUR lawn with the house in the distance. I almost expected to see you lying on your favorite grass with the actors strolling around you.
        Did you know they made a movie there? I imagine the price of a room has gone up astronomically as a result.
        Enough about that. I’m sorry you’re experiencing the tin can effect again. Thank goodness Jethro got you the earphones. And I promise, the sun will come out again soon.
        Have a nice time in Atlanta, Happy Thanksgiving, and don’t eat too much turkey.

    The movie Christmas at the Biltmore was a cute holiday movie. Of course, the Biltmore and grounds are beautiful!! Enjoy your stay!!
